As most of you probably already know, our family is suffering a tremendous loss this week. My Brother-in-law Kelvin Sumner passed unexpectedly in the early hou...rs of Wednesday morning. Kelvin was a great, no, Best friend anyone could hope for. I remember meeting Kelvin roughly twenty-six years ago. He was a fine young man who had lost his heart to my wife’s youngest sister. Over the next few years Kelvin joined the family becoming our brother-in-law 19 years ago. Kelvin was in school at Delta State studying Computer Information Systems. Same degree I had completed about 9 years earlier. Kelvin started helping me on some of my work projects. Trust me when I say projects, we did everything from Programming software to building a data center to building a pool deck. Little did I know some twenty-six years ago that bright eyed young man would become my brother-in-law, best friend, business partner, co -pitmaster, MY BROTHER in every meaning of the word. If you are reading this, I ask that you please pray for Kelvin’s family and all those that have become close to him over the years. If you don’t know kelvin and have not become friends with him trust me, you would have. Just as another friend of Kelvin’s said this week, if you couldn’t be friends with Kelvin, you couldn’t be friends with anybody. If I had to do the last 26 years over again, well its just that, I would do it again with all the good, bad, and sad times. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss any of the times we shared. My only regret is I never told Kelvin how much I appreciated and loved him. BROTHER I LOVE YOU AND WILL FOREVER MISS YOU. YOU WILL RIDE BY MY SIDE UNTIL MY SUNSET COMES! See more

This is my 17 month old niece Lily Wooten & she was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma & is currently taking chemo treatments at St.Jude. She has a long ro...ad ahead of her with at least a year of treatment. My sister in law is staying with Lily 24/7 & my brother is only working partial weeks so he can be there as much as possible. Not only are they incurring traveling & food expenses but loss of income also. Lily has a twin sister Emmy along with her older sister Lessley & brother Nathan. We are cooking this Easter to help them out & try to take ANY of the stress of this ordeal from them.
