Congratulations to the 2021 Surface and Swift Water Rescue Technician Class. The class had students from many departments from across the State of Mississippi. These rescuers join the ranks of an elite few that will go back and help their communities and the state in swiftwater, flooding, and hurricane emergencies. This credential spans 3 courses, over 130 hours of training, the rigorous IADRS swim test, and operating in one of the harshest swiftwater environents in the Sout...heast. MSFA would like to say a special thanks to Josh Abercrombie, Joe Abercrombie, Mickey Sheppard, Jarrod Trumbach, and the Mississippi US&R Task Force(MS Office of Homeland Security) for assisting with the course delivery.

IMPORTANT - Any Student/Fire Department utilizing Workforce funds for MSFA Courses MUST be completed two weeks prior to MSFA courses beginning.

Many of you have already signed up for the MS Firefighter and Fire Chiefs Conference which begins at the end of the week. However, the SEAFC will begin on the Wednesday leading up to our state conference. Having the SEAFC as a joint conference with our state conference is a rarity.
