One of our toddler students has recently shown an interest in numbers and number sequencing. One of the great things about Montessori classrooms is that they are designed to offer lessons, activities, and tools that match the developmental needs and interests of each individual child. It is important to note that not every child will be interested in every available lesson. This is why children are allowed to choose the lessons they gravitate toward naturally. For the month of May we will be starting our new unit- Food Preparation and Nutrition! The children will help with the preparation of our snack and lunches, taste test multiple different types and textures of foods, and learn about how different foods nourish our bodies! Today in the toddler classroom we learned about an assortment of fruits and vegetables and separated them into categories
